Emirates Airlines is a subsidiary of The Emirates Group. Based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), it is the seventh largest airline in the world in terms of international passengers carried and tenth largest in terms of scheduled international freight tonne-kilometres flown.It as well the fourth largest in terms of international passenger-kilometres flown.
It has become the largest airline in the Middle East in terms of revenue and passengers, fleet size, and passengers carried and is the eighth largest airline in Asia, in terms of passengers carried. The airline operates over 2,350 passenger flights per week, to 89 destinations in 55 countries all over the world. Cargo activities are undertaken by the Emirates Group's Emirates SkyCargo division. Its main base is Dubai International Airport.Emirates has built up a strong brand, has received many awards, and is an industry bellwether for aircraft purchases, as a trendsetter in terms of service, innovation, and safety.
There is an excellent selection of hotel accommodation in Emirates (UAE), with regular new openings competing to outdo each other. Rates tend to be cheaper in summer. Most of the major international hotel chains are represented, e.g. Hilton, Hyatt, Inter-Continental, Marriott, Ramada and Sheraton.
